What is there for kids to do in Naples? In July?

Naples sunset
The sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico lights up the sky.

The beaches are gorgeous “sugar sand” and the shells are plentiful. It is nice to walk on the beach around 4 in the afternoon, shuffling in the surf and looking for shells. Never go to the beach without a pail or bag for shells. The variety of colors and shapes is wonderful and kids love the treasure hunt. The Gulf of Mexico water is around 80° F and often as placid as a giant bath tub. Perfect for playing, floating, just plain relaxing. Paddle boards and kayaks are available to rent.

A few hours at a beach in Naples is the equivalent of a week-long vacation. Take a picnic and laze around until sunset. The Naples sunsets are so magnificent there is an evening pilgrimage to the beach to enjoy the spectacle before going off to dinner.

weather_chartNaples in July is hot and usually humid with afternoon showers passing through to cool things off. According to weather.com July is the hottest month in Naples. What better place to beat the heat than a Naples beach?

We’ll follow up soon with more “things to do in Naples”.
