Looking for something fun to do this week? The 2014 Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival will begin at 11:00 AM, on Friday, March 28th. The internationally acclaimed, “Satisfaction-a Rolling Stones Experience” will perform opening night! Mick himself would be satisfied with the Friday line-up! The island’s own Jim Long kicks off the evening music at 4:00 PM and you can get your “Satisfaction” at 7:00 PM.
To mix it up some on Saturday, March 29th, a full musical line-up is scheduled for your entertainment, the headliner is none other than the Fakahatchee Band! There will be Deb and the Dynamics, Hot Damn, Jim Long, too! Don’t forget to wear your BEST country gear Saturday night….there will be some fun for the best country hat, boots and more! We’ll just call them our ‘countrified contests’!
In addition to a weekend of great music, all your favorite seafood specialties will be available fresh fish, grouper, crab cakes, stone crab, shrimp, crawdads, chowder and more. There is a huge assortment of traditional landlubber favorites, too. Beer and wine will be served to quench your thirst. Over 60 arts and crafts vendors will open Friday morning at 11:00 AM. A kid’s zone with bounce house, slide, rock climbing wall, trampoline and more to wear off some of that energy while you enjoy the music, the food and the friends. Get the details.
